Autumn Neutrals

Monday, 31 October 2011

by Adele

When the team from Zalando got in touch with me to check out their website I was intrigued, as I hadn't heard of them before. I was instantly impressed with their vast selection of clothes, shoes, accessories & beauty products by both Premium brands (think MW Matthew Williamson, Fendi, Just Cavalli) & high street brands, such as French Connection, Diesel & 7 For All Mankind.

I'm loving neutrals right now, but haven't really bought into this colour yet for autumn, so here goes with a little outfit building & mental spending...

Walkies!

Friday, 28 October 2011

by Adele

My regular followers will know how much Missy is a big part of my life. I love spending time with her, wrapping up & going out for long walks. We are lucky that we have a lot of National Forest & country parks on our doorstep, so there are plenty of open spaces for her to meet up with her buddies & have a good run off lead.

This inspired me to do a different kind of outfit post. My wax jacket is one of my favourite casual jackets, great for dog walking, but still enables me to feel stylish at the same time. On the downside, I had to clean up my Hunter wellies, which are totally trashed & normally caked with mud!! You guys are honoured!!!

wax jacket, jumper & coin necklace AllSaints, jeans Topshop, scarf Warehouse,  tweed bag gifted, rings Marc by Marc Jacobs, earrings Accessorize, nail varnish Chanel Graphite

We move our clocks back 1 hour this weekend...an extra hour in bed - yay!!!!

Have a super weekend xoxo

Pumpkin Soup With Coconut, Chilli & Curry Spices

Wednesday, 26 October 2011

by Adele

As it gets colder, I love making soups that are real Winter Warmers. This time of year, I like to take full advantage of pumpkin season in the run up to Halloween, as this is the only time I can get hold of fresh pumpkin.

Pumpkin soup is one of my favourites! When I saw this recipe I was instantly sold, as you don't have to peel the pumpkin (I hate doing that!). Furthermore, unlike a lot of other recipes I've tried, this one is not laden with double cream. Although it contains coconut milk, I've used the lower fat version which is widely available in supermarkets.

I only used half the pumpkin

I used my homemade chicken stock

And the taste...definitely a big thumbs up! I love the smooth velvety texture of the soup, the mild curried pumpkin flavours followed by a little kick from the chilli.

Served with a thick slice of homemade bread & butter...yummy!

Studs & Sequins

Tuesday, 25 October 2011

by Adele

One of the things I love most about going out is getting ready. I like to take my time, put some music on, have a glass of wine, pamper myself...you get the gist!! The great thing about this dress is I can accessorize it with gold or silver as the studs are gold & the sequins are silver. I would always normally go for gold, so this time I thought I'd break the mould & go for silver accessories! One other thing about this dress....it's so heavy due to the amount of work on it!!

Happy Tuesday Lovelies xoxo

These shots were taken back when it was warm enough at the beginning of the month to keep legs bare. With going on hols I didn't get time to write the post...better late than never!

What I love about little shorts is that they also look fab with tights to make a great outfit for a night out (I have a sparkly top that will go well with them too!).
This was the first time I'd worn my new wedges & was inpressed with how comfortable they were...always a bonus!

I'm so ready for the weekend, are you?
