Summer Beauty Essentials

I've received a few emails from some of my followers asking me what are my summer must have products, so thought it would be easier to cover them off in a blog post! 
I've divided the post into 3 sections that will hopefully give you a taste of some of my summer products I swear by - I could have gone on & on, believe me I love my lotions & potions!!!

Sun Care

        

Being fair skinned I burn really easily, so I don't mind spending money on reliable sun protection. A minimum SPF of 15 is a must for me. 

The two brands I really trust are Lancaster & Piz Buin. I find these two brands allow me to tan gradually without being too greasy on the skin. They also both work well in water.

After any sun exposure I always apply After Sun following a shower. What I like about Clarins After Sun is that as well as re-hydrating my skin it enhances my tan (I need all the help I can get!!).

Hair Care

My hair takes a bit of a battering, what with highlights, swimming, heat & sun exposure. However, my routine is simple as I don't like to put too many products on my hair & I don't like to wash my hair too often (only after a swim). 


I'm loyal to John Frieda Sheer Blonde products as they help to maintain my blonde highlights. As well as using the shampoo & conditioner, I swear by the Leave In Nourishing Spray. 
Boots Sun Swim & Gym Hydra Spray protects my hair before I get into the pool or sea.


Self Tan

As I don't tan very easily (gone are the days I can lay in the sun), self tanning is a must to give me that sunkissed, beach glow. 
It's important to exfoliate regularly when self tanning. A huge fan of Soap & Glory Products, I use The Scrub Of Your Life. It's gentle enough to use as part of my daily showering routine.

For a professional, non streaky self tan, I haven't come across a better product than St. Tropez Self Tan Bronzing Mousse. It's a high end price point, but it's worth paying that little bit extra for the even, natural looking tan you get.


To give my skin a gorgeous shimmer when I'm going out, I love to apply Rimmel Sun Shimmer. Easy to wash off, I mix a small amount in when applying my body lotion.
