French Onion And Sage Soup With Gruyère Croûtons

Wednesday, 24 October 2012

by Adele

As the temperatures start to dip here in the UK, I find myself wanting heart warming soups instead of salads for lunch. I made this recipe for our lunch on Sunday & it was just the ticket!

The secret of a good French Onion soup is all about using a good quality beef stock. The addition of the sage in the recipe balances out the flavour of the onions & the yummy Gruyere Crouton is the piece de resistance.

Have a yummy Wednesday Lovelies

I can literally smell the soup! Its making me feel hungry. This recipe I am going to try.
After making a rich beef stew this week and then adding loads of veggies to the left overs the following day. We ended up with a rich chunky hash/soup,added a soupson of grated cheese on top and hey presto we had another hearty meal! Yum x
