Key colour & trend alert...mint & floral

There's nothing like some gloriously sunny weather to get me out & about in my spring outfits...& with temperatures up to 19C there was no jacket required!

The more I wear these floral trousers, the more I love them, especially the cut...they're so flattering on the derriere! 

It wasn't until I wrote this post that I realised I'm dressed head to toe in Zara -  I should probably have shares in the company the amount I buy from them!!!

 We are going to a friends wedding on Saturday...I love a good wedding, so really looking forward to sharing their special day.

Catalan Fish Stew

As you know, my sister stopped the weekend just gone. She's a real foodie, so I wanted to cook something new for her, that was delicious, but didn't take too long to make. I settled upon this recipe, which was easy to follow & took under 30 mins to make. I substituted the Mussels for King Prawns (I don't like Mussels!). 

So with my sister as sous chef & the wine a flowing we got cooking...

served with garlic butter filled mini jacket potatoes, roasted parsnips drizzled with honey & fresh sugarsnap peas

Some really fresh flavours came through from the chorizo & fennel, & the fish was melt in the mouth!

Thanks to Nicola for being such a great sous chef!!!!

New In...Key Trends

 Hawaiian...

The hawaiian trend is already about in stores & is going to be huge this spring/summer...see Stella McCartney for inspiration, who has gone into this print in a big way. 

Zara's take on the trend is this cute flippy hawaiian printed skirt...think the gorgeous weather at the weekend got me in the mood to buy it!

Florals are already huge now, so if you haven't bought into this trend, it's time to get buying! From feminine floral dresses, to silk blouses, florals are just about everywhere on the High Street. 

Zara's floral trousers have flooded the blogosphere, so I had resisted posting these up until now, but quite frankly they look so gorgeous on, I thought what the hell!!!

 Crocheted Lace...

The Lace trend has continued on from last AW into this season, with a lot of the lace being more chunky, macrame inspired. If you want a pretty spring dress to wear this season, you won't go far wrong with a pastel coloured lace dress! I opted for a cute little skirt that I'll be able to style with both pastel & bright tops.

Florals...one of my favourite key trends of the season. I've had this shirt a while & it suddenly dawned on me I hadn't posted it! I love its versatility - it looks fab with my pastel mint denim, as well as creating a brighter, edgier look with red.
