These fluoro sandals caught my eye a while back, but they had all sold out. Lucky for me, Zara had another delivery - good things come to those who wait!

 They match perfectly with my Werelse for Mango Touch bag (seen here) 

Zara TRF Neon Edged Lace Top - £19.99 (sorry couldn't find online)

I saw this top when I nipped into Zara to pick up the sandals & knew I'd be wearing it all summer. Looks great with my distressed denim shorts, worn here, & goes with all my neon accessories.

H&M Turquoise Necklace - £7.95

When I saw this statement necklace, my YSL arty ring immediately popped into my head (one of my fave rings!). Don't think I could have picked a better match!

Zara Metallic Sandals - £29.99

This was a pre holiday purchase, but have already found myself wearing them loads as they're so comfy & go with pretty much anything!

They go great with my metallic nail wraps - seen here & worn here.

Baked Amaretti Meringue Peaches

As the seasons change & summer comes, my pudding tastes switch from winter comfort puddings to lighter summer options.

This recipe works well served hot or cold. If you don't have Amaretto in your cupboard, you can substitute any sweet liqueur - I like to use my Wild African Cream Liqueur that my friend Ruth brought me from South Africa, as the creaminess blends well with the meringue. I'm also using Nectarines in place of peaches as I prefer the non furry skin!

  

It's a quick & fuss free dessert to make (the hardest thing you have to do is whisk an egg white!!), with delicious results.

serve with a dollup of half fat creme fraiche

Summer Prints

I wore this outfit on Friday night to go to our fave restaurant (you can see some of the lovely food we ate here). You've already seen the printed pants here, but the recent summer weather meant I could wear my purple silk top, which matched perfectly with the colour in the print. 

The only problem was the wind which played havoc with these shots!

Also wore one of my new Chanel nail varnishes which I'm soooo in love with.

Summertime De Chanel 2012

Last Friday saw the launch of Chanel's much anticipated summer make up collection here in the UK - Summertime De Chanel.

 As the nail varnishes always sell out super fast, I hot footed it down to my local Chanel counter to purchase the colours I'd been eyeing up (Holiday & Delight).

Overall, I was really impressed with the collection...

I loved the earthy & peachy tones for the eyes

Tropical corals & luscious shimmery bronzes for lips & nails. 

For the face there are two limited edition bronzing palettes to give the perfect luminescent sunkissed look

Unfortunately, I wasn't allowed to take photos in store of all the products & swatches so have had to make do with the internet!

I love how well these colours are going to look with a tan...perfect for my upcoming holiday  to Sicily!

Feeling Patriotic

This one's for you Bessie!

With Jubilee Fever sweeping the nation, I've been feeling somewhat patriotic (maybe because I bought my Jubilee biscuit tin!) - so much so, that I reflected my mood in one of the outfits I wore last week!

I'm a fan of our Royal Family (especially Wills & Kate) & a Diamond Jubilee will not happen again in my lifetime, so it's great to get into the spirit of the event!

Metallic Nails

Been feeling the love for metallic nails recently - first seen here. They add a touch of funk to any outfit! And of course as metallics are so on trend this season, it's a great way to incorporate the look into your outfit!

I bought the nails inc nail wraps for £7.95, which are good quality & value for money as you get 24 wraps in a pack (think I can get another 2 uses out of them!)

Armed with a pair of tweezers, a sharp pair of nail scissors & a hairdryer to heat the wraps, I set to transforming my nails!

Et voila!

I've already received so many compliments from friends who have spotted them (well let's face it you can't really miss them!) when I've worn sandals.

I'm loving my metallic pedi so much that I'm definitely going to re-apply before I go to Sicily for my hols next month - think they'll look great with tanned feet!
