Happy Friday Lovelies! I can't believe it's the last day of August, where exactly did the last month go?

This month saw me start shopping for my Autumn wardrobe, investing in a few key AW trends (camo, leopard & skulls). 

What I love about these pieces is that they've already been part of some great transitional outfits & I know they've got mileage in them to take me into late autumn/winter, when I wear them with knits etc as the cold weather kicks in (not looking forward to that!!).

Chocolate Fridge Cake With Pecan + Meringues

Last weekend we had 3 days off for the Bank Holiday, so it was time to make something super yummy to offer friends & family who popped over.

I'm a huge fan of Fridge Cake & particularly love this recipe as it contains meringue, as well as the usual nuts & dried fruit. If, like me you prefer a rustic finish to the cake, don't chop your nuts or crumble your Digestive biscuits too small.

What I love about making this cake is that it's kind of baking without baking, if you get what I mean! You just need to allow time for the cake to set in the fridge.

Le Vernis De Chanel: Frenzy + Vertigo

Happy Monday Lovelies! How was your weekend?

If you've followed my blog for a while, you'll already know how excited I get when Chanel launch their new nail varnishes...I love adding new colours to my ever expanding collection.

Friday 24th was no exception as I hot footed it to my local Chanel stockist to pick up the 2 colours I'd had reserved for me: Frenzy & Vertigo.

I fell instantly in love with Frenzy, with it's gorgeous porcelain hues...this is with 3 coats on the nail. It's a shade that oozes class & will complement any outfit...maybe should have bought 2 bottles as I think I'm going to be wearing this shade a lot!

To contrast, Vertigo is a deep & mysterious shade...a bluey brown with a slight purple iridescent to it. Two coats were enough to give the right depth of colour & finish.

The collection launched in the UK on 24th August & I know they're going to be sell out, especially Frenzy.
