The Cigarette Pant...Out of all the new clothes I've bought recently, the one purchase I couldn't wait to wear was my Baroque Cigarette Pants. 

Baroque is a key trend for AW12 & for me, buying into this trend was all about finding the right piece. I loved both the colour & the flocking on these pants as soon as I saw them!

I didn't actually buy the sweater to necessarily wear with the pants, but felt they worked well together when I got home & tried them on. 

It's now an outfit I'm totally feeling the love for.

Autumn Buys

Zara Bow Slipper £25.99

 Starting to feel my autumn wardrobe is really taking shape - just in time for the crisp mornings & chilly evenings that have definitely given an autumnal feel of late.

Velvet slippers are bang on trend right now & I couldn't resist the cute metal bow detail on these Zara slippers.

Zara necklace £19.99 & H&M statement earrings £3.99 (sorry no links!)

I have a lot of gold jewellery, & felt this statement necklace filled a gaping hole in my necklace collection being silver. I've had to wait a while for it, as it has been in & out of stock!
The earrings I've bought to possibly wear to the Cosmo Blog Awards next Thursday.

ASOS Knit With Leather Look Sleeves £25

 I love this knit, it's really flattering on as it's fairly fitted & the faux leather sleeves....well, you know my love for this trend already...enough said!!!!

Zara Leather Front Waistcoat £35.99

 Oxblood is such a key colour this season. This sold out immediately on line when it first came into Zara, so another long wait for me until it came back into stock. Definitely worth the wait don't you think?

Star by Julien Macdonald biker jacket £70 c/o Debenhams - sorry no link!

 If you invest in a key jacket of the season, it has to be a biker jacket. I love the quilted detail & silver hard wear on this Julien Macdonald jacket I bought with a voucher I was very kindly given at the Debenhams AW12 Press Day - massive thank you to Debenhams.

Topshop Baroque Skinny Cigarette Pants £40 - sorry can't find a link!

 I popped into the city to pick up an online order & spied these 2 beauties, fell instantly in love & the rest is history, as they say!

Topshop Knitted Necklace Jumper £45 (comes in various colours)

 I adored the soft nude pink in this knit & the jewelled neckline really makes a statement.

This & the cigarette pants are definitely my favourite buys so far this season.

Old Fashioned Burger with Garlicky Potato Wedges

There's nothing quite like the taste of a homemade burger. Quite a lot of Gastro Pubs in the UK now have this type of meal on their menu. It's become quite trendy!

This is my favourite burger recipe which produces an outstanding burger every time! 

As I don't eat red meat I always use Turkey mince, which is lean & healthy, with no compromise on flavour.

A real treat of a meal, you seriously have to give this recipe a try!

served on a lightly toasted bun, with beef tomato, mature Stilton cheese, rocket, caramelised red onion, american mustard & tomato ketchup

Boyfriend Love

Feeling the love for my Boyfriend jeans - definitely my favourite pair of jeans right now. I like how they can look so slouchy with a pair of flats (last seen here). More recently, I've been wearing them a lot with heels, which I think can create a really different dimension to your look.

DIY Diamond Mani

Happy Monday Lovelies! How was your weekend?

Now that I've got my outfit sorted for the Cosmopolitan Blog Awards (4th Oct), I've been focusing on things like hair & nails.

When I saw this photo on Cupcakes & Cashmere, I knew using diamonds instead of pearls would add the perfect touch of glam I was looking for.

And so for a practice run...

I chose Chanel Vertigo to try this out (although I may wear Chanel Rouge Noir for the awards ceremony).

Using 2 different sizes of stick on diamantes, I chose to apply in 3 different ways:

1. A simple row along the tip of the nail.

2. A semi-circular row following the cuticle shape.

3. Built up layers. My thumb nail is built up to a pyramid.

This doesn't take long at all to do & has the professional finish I was hoping for.
