How To: Milk Maid Braids

by Adele

Milk Maid Braids is a hair style I've recently fallen in love with. Unlike other braids I've tried, Milk Maid braids are so quick & easy to create.

Here's my super easy to follow tutorial on how to create this fabulous updo:

Step 1: Part hair down centre & separate into 2 bunches at the sides of your head.

Step 2: Braid each side of your hair, I've started my braids just above the ear, but you can start lower & further towards the base of your hair line if you wish.

Step 3: Secure the ends of each braid with bobby pins (see below)

Step 4: Lift the braids, wrapping over the top of your head, ensuring to secure well using the bobby pins.

Step 5: Tuck the ends of the braids underneath each braid so they cannot be seen.

Et Voila!

Apologies for subjecting you to my terrible roots, if you follow me on instagram or twitter (@intotheblonde) you'll know that I went to the hairdressers yesterday & got them touched up ready for my holiday, when I definitely think I'll be rocking this hairdo.

Are you a fan of milk maid braids? Here are a few other Lovelies that are:
