El Dorado Royale Spa Resort

Happy Monday Lovelies! How was your weekend?

Thought I'd kick off the week by showing you around the resort we spent the week at in Mexico (if you follow me on Twitter & instagram (@intotheblonde) you will have already seen a lot of my holiday.
It was an adults only, all inclusive complex on the Riviera Maya, situated between Cancun & Playa Del Carmen.

The resort was spotlessly clean, with many pools dotted around with swim up bars. Alternatively, you could relax on the beach as the resort was situated right on the beachfront.

This was our suite for the week (all the rooms were suites). The seating area & balcony with gorgeous sea view were situated where we took the photo from. I loved the huge window through to the bathroom, which gave a real light & airy feel to the room.

The minibar was topped up daily with free drinks & bottled water.

The bathroom had a huge square jaccuzzi bath (you can just see the edge), his & hers basins, a separate rainfall shower & loo. Wish I could have transported it back home!!!!

Normally, we like to go explore, but this week was all about R&R, to re-charge our batteries. These daybeds were super comfortable - we enjoyed reading our books, listening to music & using our phones - the WIFI was excellent, super fast all over the resort (which was great for someone like me who has my whole life in my phone)!

The food was of a very good standard. Meals were all A La Carte & waiter served. The staff were so attentive & friendly, really great service.
There were several restaurants to choose from - Italian, Asian, Mexican, Caribbean, Mediterranean. There was also a pizza/burger bar (above) & a health bar.

During the day I loved all the healthy juice drinks from the health bar. Our favourite restaurant was the Italian Cassitas.

Some examples of the type of food we were served are below.

The weather was a gorgeous 29C & being right on the coast there was a beautiful sea breeze, which made the heat totally bearable. It was a dry heat, with very little humidity.

All in all this holiday total delivered on what we wanted to get out of the week. We came back feeling thoroughly re-juvinated.

Wishing you a wonderful week Lovelies.

I will have to look to see if I follow you on instagram. I don't utilize it the way I should - time constraints. Anyways, this looks gorgeous and sooooo what the Doctor has ordered for me! I could use some fun in the sun. So glad you got away! xo
