New In: Samsung Galaxy Tab 2.0

Thursday, 19 September 2013

Happy Thursday Lovelies!

I've been having so much fun over the past couple of weeks using my new Samsung Galaxy Tab 2.0 personal tablet. I opted for the 7 inch screen size as I wanted a tablet that was both functional & extremely portable when going to events, shows & presentations.
Colour wise, I went for the white to coordinate with my iPhone, but it also comes in silver.

Getting To Grips...
If like me you're one of those people who never reads instruction manuals (yawn!), then fear not! I was able to charge, start up, register & set up my tablet in a few really easy steps. It literally took no time at all...very quickly, I was moving onto syncing my email accounts, browsing & downloading apps, dragging & organising them into folders.

Size Matters...
What I really love about the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 is its size. Small enough to hold in one hand & at just over 1cm thick it fits so neatly into all my handbags, with the added bonus that it doesn't weigh a tonne (340g to be exact!) - it's become my constant companion when I'm out & about so I can keep up to date with all your lovely blogs on the move.

It really came into its own at London Fashion Week, keeping me entertained on the train down to London, as well as capturing some of the catwalk shows using the 3.0 megapixel camera & full HD video playback.

So far, the Samsung has delivered on everything I wanted it to, it's easy to navigate, has good processing speed (I do have super-duper Wifi at home) performing well whilst browsing out & about & is above all excellent value for money at only £139.99.

The Negatives...
I've found a couple of times the screen has been unresponsive when I've clicked on a link & it has taken a few goes to rectify.
Apps wise Android don't have all my favourite shopping apps ie Mango - I'm probably being quite niggly here as it's easy to bookmark them in the web browser.
A minor gripe for me has been the resolution. If you're used to using Apple products like I am, then you will notice the poorer resolution on the Samsung, but let's not forget this is a £139.99 tablet - the Apple equivalent costs an extra £129!

Vital Statistics...
*7 inch screen
* Resolution 1024 x 600 pixels
*8GB memory (option of expanding up to 32GB)
* 1GB RAM, 1.2GHz processor
