Sausages With Pan Cooked Chutney & Leek Mash

Happy Wednesday Lovelies!

Today's recipe is a posh version of bangers & mash - exactly the type of dish you would see on a Gastro Pub menu. Having got caught out in a heavy hail & thunder storm whilst walking the dogs, this was just the type of comfort food we needed.
It's important to buy the best quality sausages you can, as it makes all the difference to how lean & tasty they are - I've used Cumberland sausages which are super yummy.
 I served it with some delicious red onion gravy (hmmm my favourite), which blended well with the leeks in the mash & flavour wise is always a great accompaniment to the sausages.




the leeks are cooked in milk before added to the cooked potatoes

the chutney is made of red onion, cranberries (I used mixed berries), balsamic vinegar, cinnamon & fresh ginger

frying off some sage leaves for the garnish
