Elie Saab L'Eau Couture
Happy Thursday Lovelies!

As we approach the end of Feb, it's time to take a look at what beauty products I've been especially loving & using loads this month. Having been away on holiday at the beginning of the month it was only natural that I shared some of my favourite new products I took away with me.

Let's kick off with my new signature scent...the luxuriously smelling L'Eau Couture by Elie Saab.

I'd been getting a little bored of my Prada Candy, which I've been wearing since it launched, so it was time to seek out a new "must have" fragrance at the airport. I wanted something fairly unique smelling that people would associate with me wearing it.

This perfume is loaded with sensual notes of green almond, bergamot, orange blossom & vanilla. It smells expensive, luxurious yet is fresh & light too. Since wearing it I've had numerous compliments - I love it when someone tells you that you smell nice!

It's quite new to market. If you're looking for a new fragrance I'd highly recommend you go sniff it out!!

Next up...we're talking sun screen...

Piz Buin 1 Day Long Lotion
Being fair skinned & prone to burning easily, it's so important to me to wear a sun screen I know I can trust. I've been a fan of Piz Buin for over twenty years. It seems to be the only sun lotion that allows me to tan gradually without burning.

This year I decided to try the 1 day long range in SPF 30 & 15. Once applied, it provides up to 6 hours of protection. It has a non offensive smell & texture wise is not too thick, absorbing into the skin easily with no sticky/greasy residue.
I did re-apply once I had put cover ups on for lunch, just in case the some of it had rubbed off & although it is water resistant it's always prudent to reapply after you've been for a dip to be on the safe side.

I will definitely be rebuying this for future holidays as it took the hassle out of re-applying sun cream all the time.

I'm a huge fan of Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray which normally comes in a 125ml bottle for £21.50. This handy little 50ml bottle at £9.00 is the perfect size to take away on your hols.
Formula wise, it's salt water based with seaweed & kelp to lock in moisture. Spray it onto damp or dry hair & it turns your luscious locks into sexy beachy waves, like you've just walked out of the ocean. You instantly feel like the hippest surf chick around!

I find letting my hair dry naturally after applying to towel dried hair gives the best results. The 50ml is also a great size to try the product out & see if you like it.

Ok, now brace yourselves for the next couple of products...

Essie Fiji & Essie No Chips Ahead Top Coat

If you've followed my blog for a while you'll know that for the past 25 years I've never worn anything but Le Vernis De Chanel, I have a huge drawer full of many colours...that is until now (shock, horror gasp!!!).

First up the nail colour...For my holiday I really wanted a shade that would pretty much go with anything. I'd seen Essie Fiji on a few blogs & loved the kind of pale marshmallow pink shade. It was a real education for me applying this colour - it was thick & streaky upon application of the 1st coat, which I hated. But persevere my friends, as by the 3rd coat it's streak free & the addition of a decent top coat gives a polished end look.

Here it is below, although the camera flash has brought out the white tones as opposed to the pink ones.
It looks great with a tan & equally good on toes as well as fingers.

Essie No Chips Ahead Top Coat is in my humble opinion, hands down the best top coat I've ever used.
Containing vitamin E, ginko biloba & minerals to help prevent breakage the top coat is designed to prolong your manicure & prevent chipping & peeling of nail varnish.
Because I swim daily my nails take a bit of a battering - I'm always having to re-apply my nail varnish due to chipping or peeling, but have found this is not the case with No chips Ahead, which prolongs my colour for 2-3 days.
Some great finds for February, don't you think?
Do let me know if you try or have tried any of the above - would love to hear your thoughts & opinions.

Have a beautiful Thursday Lovelies

Love this post! I have the original Elie Saab scent and love it; I must give this one a sniff. From one Chanel fan to another, have you tried the Les Exclusifs scents (available from boutiques not makeup counters)? They are exquisite - and there are loads to choose from!

I tested the perfume at the airport a few days ago - and it's gorgeous. I much prefer this one to the first one Ellis Saab did :o) Xx
