Beauty: June Favourites

Happy July Lovelies!

Beauty wise, I couldn't wait to show you what I've been loving in June - some of the products I literally haven't stopped wearing & still feel very excited about every time I put them on (don't you just love it when something you buy works out like that)!

One of the product's I'm talking about is Chanel's Le Vernis no. 613 Eastern Light. Launched as part of the summer Reflets D'Ete collection I couldn't wait to purchase it...white nails in the summer is a no brainer as far as I'm concerned!

I remember when Chanel brought out White Satin, I was as mad about that as I am about Eastern Light, but in my opinion Eastern Light is a brighter white, creating a really chic finish on your nails. I've bought cheaper white nail varnishes in the past, which can unfortunately look like you've put Tipp-ex on your nails! Definitely not the case with Eastern Light.

I know I'll be wearing this shade all summer, it'll also be my go to colour for my holidays!

I also bought an Illusion D'Ombre eyeshadow from the same collection in Mirage.
Again, this has been on my lower eye lid every day since the purchase. Shade wise, I'd describe it as a pale bronze - I'm loving wearing it blended with golds.

It comes with a cute little brush which makes application easy. Shimmer wise it contains just the right amount for day-wear & you can go for a deeper colour in the evening by applying more heavily.

My summer make up is all about creating a healthy sun-kissed glow. After deciding to buy a Bobbi Brown Shimmer brick to dust over my face, I ended up walking away from the counter with an even better product...

Bobbi Brown Nude Glow Brightening Finishing Powder in Bronze

Why am I declaring it's better than the Shimmer Brick? After the beauty assistant swished the Shimmer Brick on one side of my face & the Nude Glow finishing powder on the other side I could instantly see the difference. The Shimmer Brick seemed to noticeably enhance the look of my pores, whereas the Finishing powder did completely the opposite - my skin looked smoother. Apparently this is due to light-reflecting, skin brightening technology.

I cannot recommend this product enough, the shimmer is light enough for daywear & it hasn't been off my face since I got it home. Even if you just want to wear minimal make-up, this powder makes you look incredibly healthy, and I'm all for that!

Origins Super Spot Remover Blemish Treatment Gel is quite simply the best product I've used to target spots. You'd think at my age I wouldn't get spots any more, but the reality is that I do still get the odd blemish which generally tends to be hormone related.
Not only does this stuff tackle the blemish, it also reduces redness & helps to minimise any post blemish marks.
On application, you can feel the gel working it's magic immediately. Overnight, it has visibly reduced the spot & cooled any redness around it. If you catch the spot early enough, it practically disappears after zapping it with some Blemish Treatment Gel!
It's pricey at £14 for teeny weeny bottle, but you don't need much at all so the bottle will actually last ages. Totally worth the money!

I've been trying out a new face serum & I love the results. Received free as part of the Clarins bonus gift I chose 3 products, one of which was the Extra Firming Tightening Lift Serum. Wearing daily as part of my morning skin care routine I love the feel of this product on the skin & have noticed a slight tingling (in a good way) on application. Having used for a few weeks now I have noticed how much firmer my skin feels. I would even go as far to say that I may even prefer this serum to Lancome's Genefique...shock, horror!!!!

Have you tried any of these products?
What beauty products are you currently raving about?

Wishing you all a wonderful week!
