Beauty Favourites: September

Happy October Lovelies!

I'm really excited to show you this month's beauty favourites, as all the products are new to me. I love trying out new products, especially when I end up loving them enough to re-purchase & this is definitely the case with this month's bunch of let's get started...

Le Vernis De Chanel in 631 Orage
If you remember this post back in August, you'll know I treated myself to the newest Chanel nail colours. Out of all three shades, Orage has been pretty much on my nails non-stop. I'd best describe it as a black with dark blue undertones - it's one of those colours that goes with everything & surprisingly for a darker shade I have found it to be fairly chip resistant when worn with a decent top coat. I highly recommend this shade to go with your autumn wardrobe.

Tom Ford Nude Vanille lipstick & Ultra Shine Lipgloss in Naked
When clearing out my make-up drawer I realised I lacked some decent nude lip shades. So it was a bit of a mission when I was at Heathrow Duty Free to find myself some. I was after a classic nude & a more pinky nude. I ended up with both shades coming from Tom Ford. I love that all his shades are so wearable. Having been totally obsessed with my Tom Ford Black Orchid Lipstick, (which I'll still be wearing this season) I knew I loved the texture & longevity of his lip products.

Top: Tom Ford Naked Lipgloss
Below: Tom Ford Nude Vanille Lipstick
Swatched, the Nude Vanille comes out as a much deeper pink than it does on the lip. I've been wearing the Nude Vanille in the day & the Naked Lipgloss when I go out. Although Tom Ford lip products are pricey, in my opinion they're the best on the market & at least buying them in Duty Free I got 20% off! Wouldn't hesitate to re-purchase both these colours even at full price.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

This is one of the best new products I've tried recently. I'm not a huge fan of cleansing milks/lotions as I never feel my skin has been totally cleansed, so when I saw Garnier's Micellar Cleansing Water advertised in one of my magazines I hunted it down & popped it in my basket.

Why I love is amazing at removing make-up (and I wear a lot of make-up!) without having to rub, it's hypoallergenic thus suitable for even the most sensitive skin & comes in a massive bottle. It's cheap too at £4.99 RRP for 400ml. A little goes a long way.
I wouldn't be without this product to remove my make up now.

Clarins Exfoliating Body Scrub

After a holiday you always end up with more dead skin cells to exfoliate...enter my favourite body exfoliator as of the past month since I've returned from Turkey. It falls into the category of one of my "wonder products". Why? Not only does it exfoliate, it stimulates cell renewal & minimises the appearance of spongy skin. It's soft enough to use on more delicate areas. My skin feels wonderful after using this - it's a great product to use before you self tan too. Oh & I looooovvvveeee the smell!

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Rockstar
As mentioned earlier, I recently cleared out my make-up drawer & found this Urban Decay Eye Pencil at the back of it, still in it's box, never used. I do remember being given it at a Press Day, but can't remember which one (if it had made it's way to the back of my drawer it had been there a while!).
Having tried it, I LOVE it & it has been my daily eye liner whenever I've worn pinnks/purples (most days recently).
Colour wise it's a really dark purply-black (see swatch below) so looks great worn with black mascara. Why I Love it? It basically does what it says on the tin - it glides on effortlessly, staying power is great too! Just wondering why I didn't try it sooner!

Swatched - Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil
Last but by no means least, my new eyebrow pencil...

MAC Veluxe Brow Liner in Deep Brunette

I love this brow liner! It has a more powdery formula & finish compared to others I've used in the past, so I'm much happier with the more natural finish it gives my brows. It also has a decent brush on the other end to blend & shape. It's available in five shades - I was a little surprised I matched best with Deep Brunette. It's now my go to brow product & will be re-purchased for sure. I've swatched & blended below for you to see.

So that's it for September. Let me know in the comments if you've also tried any of these products & any others you think should be on my radar.

Wishing you a beautiful October

That's so cool you bought the new Chanel nail polish colors. I have some photos on my current blog post where I am wearing Chanel "Black Satin" nail polish. I love Vamp too- even though it's a 20 year old color; I adore the dark red hue.
Hope you had a great day!!!!!
