Happy Wednesday Lovelies!
As October was such a mild month, make up wise, I didn't quite get into wearing darker autumn shades. Instead I found myself wearing plenty of nudes, which I'm still loving as we move into November.
These are my top 5 beauty recommends that I used to death throughout October...
MAC Pure Zen Lipstick & Chanel Le Vernis 625 Secret
First up two products that I've been wearing day in day out...
MAC's Pure Zen lipstick is one of those shades you can't live without in your make up bag...trust me! It's the perfect colour for day time wear. It has a creme sheen formula, making it gorgeously glossy. I always feel like it plumps my lips as well as moisturises them. Next time you swing by a MAC counter give this lippy a try & I guarantee you'll be walking out the store with one!
Last month it was Orage, this month Chanel Secret has been pretty much on my nails throughout October. It's one of those shades that makes your nails look like models, seems to elongate the fingers & looks great worn with black as well as neutral tones. I even think I love this more than Particuliere which is one of my all time favourite Chanel shades (high praise indeed!).
Let's move onto Self Tanning...
St Tropez Self Tan Express Mousse
If you like to self tan then you'll already know that St Tropez products are some of the best you can trust to deliver a natural looking tan. I self tan throughout the winter months as it makes me feel & look better. St Tropez's Self Tan Express Mousse has now become my holy grail of self tan products.
Easy to apply, it works on 3 levels - leave for one hour for a light shade, two hours for medium & 3 hours for dark. Then simply shower off with warm water. The tanning agents continue to develop your tan. I normally apply in the evening, & shower off just before I go to bed, so there's no stained bed sheets.
What I've found - medium works best & looks most natural. Dark can look a little too dark on areas such as the hands. The tan tends to last just over a week.
The only down side is that horrible fake tan smell once it's fully developed, but as I shower the next morning it's gone in a flash!
Next up is a fab hair serum...
Original & Mineral Frizzy Logic Shine Serum
I was sent a sample of Original & Mineral's Frizzy Logic Shine Serum to try. As I swim daily I also wash my hair daily, so have had plenty of time to try this out.
This is a serum which tames frizzy, out of control hair to create glossy, silky smooth locks. It's packed full of goodness too - Macadamia Seed Oil to replenish & enrich, Argan Oil to restore shine & softness, Pro Vitamin B5 to shield against UV damage to name but a few.
This product definitely delivers - my hair is sleeker, softer & more easy to manage, which is great if you have mid length/long hair, but what I love the most is the amazing tropical smell, I would buy again for this alone!!!
Le Blanc De Chanel Sheer Illuminating Base
Don't be scared this fluid is white! It's a two in one product - it gives an amazing healthy glow to your face when you apply as a base, or you can use it as a highlighter over the top of your foundation to lighten it/add luminosity to your skin.
Why I love it - apart from making my skin look healthy, I feel it prolongs my foundation wear throughout the day when worn as a base. For me, it's one of those no brainer products I constantly have in my make up bag.
Here it is when you first put on the skin...
So that's my October round up.
